Mysteriously Profound Fun: The Sendings of the Oaqui

Then there's that unique taste of what I call "Mysteriously Profound Fun" like when something you're only pretending to be true suddenly seems truer than that.

I take, for today's case and point, the Sendings of the Oaqui. Oaqui (known alternate spellings include: "Whacqui" "Joaqui" "Huakee" :-) was something I thought I was just pretending into existence, and then found myself for gosh-sake channelling. I mean there was something smarter than me, wiser than me speaking, more serious than my intention, something that frequently seemed at least as wise as it was for fun. And that's a really delicious kind of fun. One worth savoring. The imaginary taste of something you can half-believe is real.

Profoundly mysterious fun.

Yum!

Wanna hear something weird as hell? I was just sitting around creating a new religion (it's a hobby of mine), when I thought up a new word: Enlightenupment.

After writing a few things about this "new" and exciting concept, I decided to google it and see if anyone else had pre-discovered the idea. I google almost every new idea I come up with, so I'm totally used to dealing with the fact that I'm not as original as I think I am. So it was not surprising to see that someone else had already beat me to the punch on that particular word. No biggie, happens all the time. After all, the internet's a big place.

It was, however, surprising to see that you had tied the concept of "Enlightenupment" to a frog.

That was EXACTLY what I had written about. A supernatural, multi-dimensional, time-traveling frog named "Sprongo" who is able to think with his belly button instead of his brain. He also rides a motorcycle.

Also, one of the main concepts in this new, mind-bending religion is that there are two kinds of beliefs - Beliefs and "Beliefs" - the latter being a more flexible, but extremely powerful, way of reifying ones personal ideas. Or, as you put it "like when something you're only pretending to be true suddenly seems truer than that."

Pretty wyrd, man. I'll have to run this by Sprongo, and see what he thinks.

PS - Don't tell anyone I was here. I'm supposed to be dead.
