Here’s a snippet from a snapshot of what seems to have become my Big Whoopee presentation.
It begins where I talk about the idea of CoLiberation, which, in its own over-simplified and intentionally silly way, applies Csikszentmihalyi’s idea of flow to the social experience. It’s a way to describe what happens when people get in flow together, and what happens when they don’t.
It also explains what led me to write The Well-Played Game, what kept people like Bill Russell playing basketball, and why playing together, even when we’re just being funny together, can help people discover the power and potential of community in their lives.
