Thirty years ago, while developing a curriculum in theater for elementary school kids,Bernie made two discoveries that changed his life and some small but significant parts of the world:
These discoveries led him to writing The Well-Played Game and to the discovery of the "Playful Path" - where playfulness becomes a way of life. He developed a teaching method he calls DeepFUN. Bernie uses lighthearted, "pointless games," and deep reflection to help people follow more playfully their own personal Paths. Participants in Bernie's programs develop strength and insight and an almost mystical power to play that reaches from the inner playground to the workplace, from family to society at large, and to the health of their very body. Key to the experience of fun awareness is CoLiberation. It is an experience that brings greater wholeness to self, family, community, world. The games people play again become what they have always been intended to be: tools for exploring, extending and sharing their capacity for fun and the playfulness with which they follow their path. Each of Bernie's retreats introduces aspects of DeepFUN which can be put into practice for a lifetime. Download the overview (requires Acrobat Reader)
