When teaching is fun
Kids make dinosaurs out of boxes and duct tape, they plan, they give the
dinosaur names Ð they demonstrate pride, ownership, leadership. Cooperation. As
a teacher I feel energized and exhausted.
Doing theatre with kids Ð even little plays, give them bunny ears (doesnÕt
have to be elaborate). Adds to their self-esteem. Helps them overcome their
timidity.
Based on ÒFlat StanleyÓ Letter writing to people in another State Ð make
posters. Use pictures of kids to make their own Flat Stanleys. Send to people
in other State. People take pictures of Flat Staney in their State, send
stories about their StateÉ
Take Flat Stanley to nature center, take pictures.
