Bernie DeKoven was my original mentor about games and play some 30 years ago back at The Games Preserve in Pennsylvania. He is our most brilliant thinker and visionary about games and play and the way they impact modern society. His latest CD is called Recess for the Soul.

In it, Bernie explores games and play as a path to the inner world. He uses the “Inner Playground” as a metaphor for spiritual awakening, and shows how inner play can evoke a meditative state that can help the listener deal with everyday life problems.

It’s completely original and quite fun and quite profound. Bernie’s nuanced and playful reading of his material brought a smile to my lips over and over again.
